Online advertising is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers. It includes email marketing, serach engine marketing, social media marketing etc. Like other advertising media, online advertising frequently invloves both a publisher, who integrates advertisments to be isplayed on the publisher's content. Other potential participants include advertising agencies agencies that help generate and place the ad copy, an ad server who technologically delivers the ad and tracts statistics, and advertising affiliates who do independent promotional work for the advertiser. Research shows that advertising online works well with other forms of advertising to help give the brand name or product a significant uplift in exposure.This paper makes an attempts to know the concept of online advertising and its advantages in current globalised marketing era.
