USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE IN TEACHING : AN EXPERIMENT WITH PEDAGOGY

Abstract:
The Social Networking Sites are increasing in numbers and Its applications. The SNS, Social Networking Sites are very popular with the Youth. The youth is spending their Productive time on SNS. The SNS are mostly used for making friends, sharing information, entertainment, and knowing about the Oman people living all over the world. There is a trend of using SNS sites also for sharing official Information, documents and doing scores of things much faster and with ease. This paper attempts to explore the function on SNS as a Teaching-Learning Tool and Knowledge Sharing. The students of affiliated Management Institutes from the Pune region were surveyed and an Experiment was conducted to explore the Potential of SNS for helping in the Teaching-Learning process and all-around development.
