      <Abstract>India is a country with a pool of talent. One can find a lot of skilled and unskilled labour in Indian market. In manufacturing industry or any other industry if one wants success then focus should be on recruiting the right people. In today__ampersandsign#39;s era of globalization and increasing competition, recruiting and retaining the talent has become a challenge. Employer branding helps in communicating about the employer among the prospective employees. This paper deals with the literature review of the employer branding in different areas. Different articles, papers, research material have been studied to see the evolution of employer branding and the progress till now. The review has been summed up on the basis of year of publication. The study found that employer branding is a need for HR practices. It helps in providing economic as well as psychological benefits to the employee. It gives an idea to the prospective employees about the company and helps in decision making phenomena.&#13;
