GREEN BUSINESS PRACTICES: THE BASIC NOTION ABOUT THE GREEN BANDWAGON AND THE COUNTERING MYTHS”

Abstract:

In recent years, environmental and energy conservation issues have taken the central theme in the global business arena. The reality of rising energy cost and their impact on international affairs coupled with the different kinds of environmental issues has shifted the social and economic consciousness of the business. Hence, the business community is now in search of an eco-friendly business Pune model and discovering how to maximize their organization's triple bottom line (considering all stakeholders — people, planet, and profit — rather than just shareholders). Converting a company to a sustainable business model is largely a matter of transformative thinking by implementing various green business practices. This research paper is intended to get an insight about the new world wide trend of the “Green Bandwagon”. The objective of the present study is twofold; firstly to Pune clarify the definition of “Green Business Practices”, secondly to understand the confusions and countering myths revolving around it.
